Egoscue Method Postural Alignment Classes beginning next week!
What is Egoscue Postural Alignment Therapy?

     Chronic and recurring back pain is most often caused by misalignment of our bodies. And why do our bodies become misaligned? Pain and injury cause us to change our posture and our gait patterns to avoid discomfort. Many of us live with a raised shoulder or a rotated hip, pronated feet, slumped shoulders or head forward. You name it. Those postural compensations cause other joints to go out of alignment as well. The body is one functional unit. Treating just the site of pain might deliver temporary relief, but it does nothing to deal with the actual structural cause of it.
     Postural Alignment exercises help our bodies re-discover a functional posture; a posture where our load bearing joints line up vertically and horizontally; a posture in which each muscle does the work that it was designed to do. The exercises are guaranteed to be pain-free. No difficult positions or movements!
     Annalisa is a certified in the Egoscue method of Postural Alignment. She will lead classes at the yoga center beginning Thanksgiving week. During this introductory week, classes will be free.

Tuesday, November 22: 9:45 -10:45.
Friday, November 25: 8:30-9:30
Continuing at the same times weekly thereafter.
Private and personalized therapy sessions are also available.

Gretel and Emanuel, the veterinarians located at Las Cuevas, are moving December 1 to Santa Cruz the town just before La Ribera. They will be located on the right hand side in one of the first buildings as you enter the town according to Gretel.

Luz at Tortilleria LuzBeth is making whole wheat tortillas every Wednesday. She is located across the highway from El Toro y La Luna. If the demand for whole wheat tortillas is as great this year as last year, she will make them on Fridays, too.
