last day we will receive applications for the 2012 Amistad Award.
The Amistad award will recognize an individual whose efforts within
the community have made a significant contribution to the overall
welfare of our town. Applications can be dropped off during the City
Celebration Sunday 20th at the Cancha. Rotary will be manning the
Diabetes screening booth in front of the DIF offices. Applications
need to be filled out completely in-order to be considered. The
announcement of the award winner will be released shortly after the
first of the year.

Discussion - Ooms Phone System
I thought I would post
this on the BPE
I bought a Ooms phone system last Tuesday Nov 8 th and installed it
Nov 9 th it worked fine until I went to call Los Barriles . I was
informed that I needed to purchase there Premiere service for 99.99
dollars and I would need to buy 1,000 minutes for 9.99 dollars which
I did I made to calls to LB on the 9 th then every went t down the
drink . I spent 7 days trying to get Ooma to get the problem solved
they could not give me a time or date when the problem would be
solved . Plus there support is only av able from 7 am to 7 pm if you
need help after 7 pm your out of luck I returned there phone system
and went back to Vonage

a. My
most recent Property Tax bill has increased 620% (despite having
made no improvements). If there are others with a similar situation,
and/or those with advice on the best method to contest this
