All are welcome for fun and exercise, last year the average age of our regular players was over 60 years old, we welcome young and old alike. We will be playing at the end of Barracuda Blvd. same place as we have in the past, at the new Loco Rico's beach sand bar! East Cape Arts Association Music Festival Schedule

TheEast Cape Arts Association announced the schedule for their November 5, 2011 musicfestival:

1:00p.m. - Revolving Door (A mixture ofBlue Grass and Country)

2:15p.m. - Sexto Sentido (Latin Jazz and music from Latin America)

4:00p.m. – Pura Vida (Reggae and Latin Rock)

5:30p.m. – Plácido Arce (Soft Spanish ballads)

5:30p.m. – Pig Roast Dinner

6:30p.m. – A Love Electric (Todd Clouser’s fusion jazz)

8:15p.m. – Cambio de Corazon (Jazz standards and Latin Rock with Fire Dancers from Cabo Shows)

9:15p.m. – Skeleton Key (Beatles, Stones, Grateful Dead and dancing with Fire Dancers from Cabo Shows)

The advanced ticket price for admission to their music festival and pig roast dinner is $35.00 USD ($420 Pesos).  Admission only is $25.00 USD ($300Pesos).

The location is the Playa del Sol Resort beach in Los Barriles. Turn on the street between Baja Properties and the driving range and follow the signs for parking.  The Playa de Sol gate opens at 12 noon. A large bonfire on the beach will illuminate the stage and a pig roast dinner in the evening. The event is “festival seating.” Chairs are limited, so bring your lawn chair or blanket. Light food, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase all day. Coolers and pets are not permitted on the grounds or beach.

Playa del Sol Resort has put together some packages for those wishing to stay overnight. Packages include festival admission, hotel room, dinner ticket and drinks. Call 877-777-TUNA (8862) or624-141-0044 for package information and reservations. Ask for “Music Festival Package.”

A limited number ofadvanced tickets are available. Advanced tickets will be on sale through November 3 at:

· Baja Beach Company in the Plaza del Pueblo, Los Barriles.

· Baja Books & Maps in San Josedel Cabo - jus tacross the arroyo from Centro San Jose accessed by the new bridge to La Playita and Puerto Los Cabos.

A big welcome back to all the health and fitness enthusiasts. I'm very excited to be back in Los Barriles and to start teaching classes again the week of November 14. I have completed my Zumba Basic and Zumba Gold certifications this Summer and I will be teaching two Zumba Gold classes each week. These classes are suitable for all levels and NO dance experience is required only the desire to have fun, listen to great music, move, tone and reduce the risks of heart disease and osteoporosis. a. I will be driving to Los Barrilles the last week of November in a 25 ft. motorhome and towing a mid size truck. I have concerns about the road conditions. Has anyone just traveled the route from San Diego border with similiar equipment who would be willing to share their opinion/and/or experience? a. Hey folks, I thought I would send a note about our experience at the "new" La Curva restaurant in town. For almost a year they were closed for remodeling. My wife and I went there for dinner last night and the food and service were both great! The menu offers all of the Mexican dishes we love and the prices were good. We would recommend giving La Curva a try, you won't be disappointed.

b. Loco Rico's Sand Bar will have the official Opening Saturday October 29th. I have worked out all the details of starting a New Location and I welcome everyone to come and check out the Bar this weekend. We are now open daily from 12pm until 9pm or 10pm depending on the customers. There will be Live Entertainment Saturday at 7pm and maybe some Volleyball so come by the beach and join us. c. We have a big clinic scheduled for November 9th and we're going to need all the crates we can get. We still have one in Seattle and another in Vancouver BC.
