Acting on a tip from an LB neighbor, I went to the California DMV to apply for a California ID card. It looks the similar to a CA Drivers License. I made an appointment on-line, arrived on time and was immediately taken on time. I explained that I was a CA non-resident and would like an ID card. I explained that I wanted the card because it may be used for ID in lieu of presenting an actual drivers license. I explained to her that in Mexico, if you are stopped for a traffic violation you can leave your drivers license with the officer and return later to pay the fine. She said no problem, fill out this form. For some reason she suspected that I was a Senior (over 62). She said that my card would be free and that I could have as many as I needed. Ten days later, I had my card. thecomputerguy

Stoney BBlues Band will play songs from their album It’s Showtime which has been nominated Best Blues CD at San Diego Music Awards in 2011.

Initially a garage band, the Backwater Blues Band madean entry on the finest stages of San Diego playing next to John Lee Hooker ,Delbert McClinton, Fabulous T-Birds, and many others.

Chet Cannon & The Committee have been playing blues in San Diego since 2001, and the leader of the group Chet Cannon is known to be a “terminal blues fan”.

The Coyote Mike & The Wetbacks band has members with ages varying between 17 and 61 years. They do a great job at creating tunes inspired by blues and rock to funk, jazz and reggae.

Lisa Cee believes that the key to great music is to let your soul and passion take over. Since 2008, Lisa has been playing with Gibson Guitar Lodge at the distinguished Sundance Film Festival.

145thStreet Blues Band recently released their album Where The Blues Lives in which they masterfully combine “rawexpressive vocals, exceptional harmonica, passionate, blazing guitar, and wailing, honking saxophone with rhythm section that is spirited and tight”.

There is more to it. In addition to these great bands, the Baja Blues Fest invited a variety of artists: painters, photographers, sculptors, designers, craftsmen, huichol artists, and even graffiti artists.
