RECYCLING NEWS - REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE! VOLUNTEER!
The East Cape
Recycling Baja ‘Comadres’ need your support. Recycling Day is a
community effort, for two hours once a month. During this time we
sort and load 8-10 big containers of recyclables to be delivered to
recycling vendors in San Jose. It is a big job for three women, but
is easily handled if we have eight to ten volunteers who will commit
to helping us for one hour each month. WE NEED YOU! In fact, we
cannot do it without you. Just one hour a month will make light work
of sorting and loading recyclables on Recycle Day. Please contact

Lord of the Wind - Thursday
December 6th at Palmas de Cortez conference center will be
our next and last meeting for those wishing to volunteer for
Lord of the Wind. If you want to just learn about this
exciting event or want to volunteer join us at 4pm to hear
about this community event. We will be taking sign-ups for
specific jobs during the event.
Immediately following the general meeting our Race Director
Wylie will hold an additional meeting with all of his team
members to coordinate the race activities. If you are part
of the race committee (starters, finishers, timers) and have
not been to the general meeting please plan on attending
both, but if you have already attended the general meeting
then you will only need to attend the second meeting
(approximate start time 5pm).

The Baja Bird Man will be
selling 2013 Bird Calendars at the La Trinada Flea Market on
Sunday the 9th. Four different calendars are for sale. Two
calendars are of the local Baja birds, one is 'Hummingbirds
of the World' and another is 'Birds of Belize'. Price is 15
USD or 200 pesos. In addition there are refrigerator magnets
of our local birds. Four different sizes of twelve different
birds. Sold individually (choose your favorites) or buy
the 'six pack' (1 large, one medium and four small magnets)
for 100 pesos.
