I went thru Mulege 3 times in the last month,
from both directions. The Pemex on the highway south of town is
definitely shorting you 10% on fuel. I.e., you get 10 gallons of
gas, you pay for 11. (But they do wash your windshield.) Suggest
you plan your trip to gas up at Sta. Rosalia.

The EL TRIUNFO PAINT PROJECT is collecting
donations of usable paint for distribution to poor households in our
historic colonial pueblo. The locals are asking for help as
never before ... and the pueblo is really cheering up with 22 houses
painted over the past two years ! We will make arrangements to
pick up the paint from any location in the southern Baja. Please

The Kindergarten of Los Barriles invites you to
join their Christmas Pageant. When; Tuesday, Dec. 18. Where; the
Basketball court. Time; 5:00PM. Donation; ten pesos. The children of
Los Barriles will put on a Christmas Festival for your enjoyment and
will have typical Mexican snacks for your pleasure. Tamales,
Buñuelos, hot chocolate, little cakes, nachos, soft drinks etc.
Tickets can be purchased early at the Kindergarten from 9:00 to
12:00. As always proceeds go towards the schools upkeep and ongoing

Greetings Pony Express folks!
I'm putting together a selection of work to show at the Colima del
Sol Art Festival this sunday. I enjoyed the show last year so
much... The setting is awesome and the people organizing are so laid
back and agreeable that it made showing my work a real pleasure.
