The "Highway Horses", and their babies, are home! And goodness are
they beautiful, happy and getting so healthy. It takes a long time
for horses to return from the deathly brink of starvation, but so
many in this community stepped to the (hay) plate and we have
underscored not just their healthfulness but also that of their
babies! Now, the two colts, "Milagro" and his cousin "Sorpresa"
(Miracle and Surprise;) are beyond handsome and love to literally
kick up their heels and play. The mares "Princessa" and "Canela" and
colts spent three months in the cool mountains away from the threat
of storms in the capable hands of Liz at Rancho La Venta and are
back to the corrals on the north beach road, donated by excavating
contractor and block factory owner Jose Luis Gonzalez. Currently
they are in a bit smaller pasture while Jose Luis' sheep eat down
the summer brush in the big pasture where they will return in
another week. But they await your apples and carrots and love and
attention! If you have a heart for horses and can contribute to the
hay fund, that would be wonderful. If you have horse experience,
especially young horses and want to assist, that is welcome too.

We want to thank all the ladies that turned out to
experience the Linda Hamilton collection style show. The feed
back from so many of you was good about the food and the show.
Bay View did an excellent job with the lunch.
Also, a great big thank you to all those that purchased from
Linda. We were able to give $250.00 US to the Guild and to Alma,
(split).
And of course we were lucky to have models, Tanya Higginson,
Theresa Comber, Sue White, Terri McIntosh, Carol Weill and Anita
Harris doing such a great job (looking quite professional, I
might add) modeling the clothing and accessories. Thank you
ladies so much.
You may look forward to (Dec.) next year when Linda will be
doing another style show and with a lot more COLOR.

RECYCLING NEWS - East Cape Recycling Baja
is sending a huge thanks and congratulations to the Asociacion de
Artes for a successful Fall Festival de Artes and also to our
wonderful East Cape community for supporting the artists. AND a big
thanks to all our local residents for helping to keep our community
clean and green through recycling. We hope everyone had the
opportunity to come by our booth to see the beautiful recycled blown
glass made from the clear glass that we all collect and recycle
every month. East Cape Recycling Baja is proud to provide the
recycling service for the Fall Festival de Artes and all our local
events.
The Recycling Comadres, Lynn Mirassou, Theresa Comber
and Holly Burgin wish everyone joyous holidays. Remember to REDUCE,
REUSE AND RECYCLE, especially during this time of year. Share your
enthusiasm for recycling by giving one of our BIG, BLUE, STURDY,
