A Huge Thank You: Dan and I are still overwhelmed
with the response from the East Cape and Baja Pony Express community
when the medical alert went out for needed blood. When they told me
they only had two units of blood and he needed more, I thought
immediately of the Pony Express. Thank you, Cheryl, this newsletter
is definitely more than just a place for local information but is
also a lifesaver in the literal sense. Many of us know the value of
Char Wenger and the East Cape Health Center, but it needs to be said
again. She helped us from the beginning and was there with us up to
the time that we flew back to California. I urge all to help Kay
Mundt in her goal to have a list of people who are willing to donate
blood when needed. Finally I must thank our friends and the
community who supported us during this most difficult of times. The
gentleman from La Paz who drove to San Jose to give blood and
offered to contact the Union in Mexico City to get more donated
blood, the woman willing to give up the competition Lord of the
Winds to donate if needed, and all the others that we don't even
know of, we thank you! Dan is getting stronger everyday and we do
plan to come back soon. It has to be the best place to live (and

day you have donated enough money to send Ulises and his parents to
TJ for the medical tests that he needs. Fatima and I can’t thank all

Fuel Overcharge In Guerrero Negro - Everyone
traveling north and south be aware of a situation at the PeMex
nearest the flag in Guerrero Negro. It's the one located just north
of the entrance to GN. They are, once again, shorting on the amount
and overcharging by 10 pesos per litre. I questioned the man in
charge and showed him all of my other facturas. He shrugged and said
it was because of the higher cost of cargo. We wondered how come the
one just north of that PeMex was totally full of vehicles getting
fuel and yet when we drove into the one closest to town it was
deserted. We thought perhaps he was out of fuel. He said no. We

Set it out in the sun (plentiful and free here), cover with screen or cheese cloth. Turn it over a couple of times a day for a couple of days. When it is like soft candy cut it into small pcs. appropriate for your animal - refrigerate.
