Cali the cat is back home in the Oasis of Ignacio Springs. We would
like to thank Bruce and Jill for keeping her safe, well fed and
loved at Rancho Leonaro for several weeks. We also want to thank
Linda Schwartz who kindly brought her back to us safe and sound. She
was definitely a lucky cat as are we to have such great friends and

Festival in LOS BARRILES, THUMBS UP - ANSWERS - DISCUSSIONS- This category must have email address. a. Jimmy and I just got back from Leon and San Miguel de Allende, both of which are in the State of Guanajuato. Most people have heard of San Miguel and it is a lovely town with cobblestone streets. Leon is a vital and thriving city of 2 million and it is famous for its shoe manufacturing and shoe outlets. It is safe and the people are very friendly. There is so much more to Mexico than our piece of paradise---so go and see. Chris White b. Some of our better restaurants are not in the middle of the action but have been around for quite awhile and offer good food and prices. Cafe Maria and Baja Cactus are two of those restaurants. Cafe Maria is open every day and is on the road to the cemetary. Baja Cactus is on the Hwy heading north across from the school. Get our of your rut and try these restaurants. The Artists Studio Tour on Monday
Feb. 13th is always a lot of fun and a great way to meet your local
artists and see where they create their "works of art". This year
have 19 artists showing at 15 homes that are on our map. There are
acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, pottery, mosaic tile tables,
hand knits, clothing, hand painted glassware, soy candles and, of
course, jewelry. I (Elizabeth Perkins) am a jewelry artists. I work
with sterling silver, semiprecious stones and pearls. Most of my
creations are on of a kind and I have a great selection of earrings,
bracelets, and necklaces. I only do a few shows a year in Los
Barriles as I mostly sell to the gift shops at Las Ventannas and
Esperanza hotels and Antigua de Mexico at the Pallmilla shops so
this is a good opportunity to come by and see my line of Jewelry. I
am # 3 on the map which you can pick in front of Otra Vez Monday
morning. The hours are 10 to 4. Also if you fellas need a Valentine
gift for your sweetheart this would be a good time to do a little
