I need Comcasters to contact them.  My notification email comes from: www.dreamhost.com .  Comcast must be blocking that webiste???  If anyone has thoughts, let me know. Cheryl

Does anyone know if you have to through the pet import procedure every time a pet flies into SJD or is it a one time event?  Did it on Tuesday, it was very time consuming. Four dogs on my flight.  Took about 15 minutes per dog for the Import Officer to prepare, stamp and sign each certificate. Tough on the dogs to wait an extra hour.  Big thanks to Konka's owners from La Ribera who helped me, could not
have gotten through everything without you. Bajajoanna@gmail.com

Save your SODA and BEER CANS! Every can equals 1 vote for Paloma and Ian, candidates for Queen and King of the Elementry School for Dia del Nino. The competition will be tough for these cute as a button first grades as they are running against another Grade 1 class + Grades 2-6. I will pick up the cans or you can drop them off at La Casa de Vos. All proceeds will go towards the school. Thank you for your support! tehromalask@hotmail.com

We would like to clarify that the employees of Hotel Playa del Sol were not responsible for the poison put out for feral cats. It was put out by unknown persons close to the boatyard for the hotel and the dog that died belong to one of the boatyard workers.

The La Ribera Valentine Dinner/ Dance was a huge success. The weather cooperated, music by "Sangre Nueva" kept people dancing until 1 AM, the food was good. High consumption guaranteed a net revenue of $26,000ps to improve or complete the children's park in the center of town. This was a first attempt at organizing it by the "North Americano" community, we think it worked!
Thanks to those who bought tickets, those who just plain "donated" because they couldn't come, and of course all the volunteers who made it happen. Special thanks to Chuck at Lighthouse Pizzeria (624 355 7463) for his donation of extra large delicious pizzas, Charlie's chocolates for creating the chocolate dipped strawberries and Mayor Guillermo Sandez for his direction, and assistance from his crews to prepare the Cancha and the clean up after.

THUMBS UP - ANSWERS - DISCUSSIONS- This category must have email address.

a.  We just returned from Magdalena Bay our bilingual tour guide, Octavio cell 044 624 127 3122. He supplied an excellent breakfast prepared by his wife, who has a restaurant in El Cardonal on the 4 1/2 hr drive in his comfortable and roomy van. We immediately went out to see the whales and what an experience we had. There is nothing that compares to caressing these gentle giants. As my friend said it is truly "touching eternity". Our accommodations were clean and the beds comfortable, the lobster/seafood dinner was excellent and our eggs and pancakes the next morning sent us off for another spectacle experience. This definitely should be on your bucket list. Thank you Octavio for a well planned and safe trip, Bill & Jane Perry, Bud & Leslie Davis

b.  We had a fabulous lunch at Los Compadres on the Hwy just south of Miraflores yesterday. Atmosphere, cleanliness, service and food are all excellente! Very cold beer too. The chef, Gabriel Castillo, is very happy to talk about preparation. His Salsa Tatemada is superb. We highly recommend chef Gabriel and Los Compadres. Chef Gabriel is also available for private parties or dinner in, 624 191 3995.
