Cheryl, Thank you for your
help posting about my stolen passport again, I was able to get it
back this morning and may still be able to get a few more things
back as well.
Looks like someone poached
my laptop out of my truck in Santa Anita by the airport. Missing is
a ruby colored Dell Vostro 2510 in a black case. It needs to be
repaired and I would like to get it back so it is not thrown out

of Year again. Especially as the contest nears, more and more
unfamiliar folk will be in our wee pueblo. Don't be timid about
eyeballing people who are wandering around looking lost. You have a
right to be here, you have a right to keep the property you brought
with you, and you have a right to diplomatically protect your
serenity and stuff. If you don't recognise someone as part of the
local/seasonal population, and they're genuinely lost visitors,
maybe offer to steer them in the right direction. Last year, someone
walked off with Baja Joe's giant plasma screen TV from the main
kitchen during contest week. Let's not continue to be a rewarding
stopover on the milk-route of thieves. TM
The Asociacion de Artes would like to announce a
change in date of the artist's studio tour from February 5th to
February 13th between the hours of 10am and 4pm. We will have over
15 artists open their personal studios featuring everything from
photography, jewelry, watercolors, textiles, pottery, paintings and
more. The studios will be open between 10am till 4pm February 13th
and you will be able to purchase tickets starting Friday January
27th, for 60 pesos or $5.00 USD at La Casa next to Baja Beach
Company in the Plaza. Our map with studio locations will be given
out the day of the event, February 13th, starting at 8am in front of
Otra Vez. You may also purchase tickets that day in front of Otra
Vez for 70 pesos or $6.00 USD. Artists please contact Elizabeth

screen’ beginning this Saturday, January 21, and as often as we can

please), to the pool terrace at the East Cape Casas & RV Resort for
our first film “MONEYBALL”, starring Brad Pitt, based on the true
life story of Oakland A’s baseball manager Billy Beane and his
unconventional baseball recruiting system by drafting has-beens,
untried rookies, broken bodied players to compete with the rich
teams. Movie will start at 7 pm, please arrive early enough to set
up and get comfy. A $50 peso (or more J) suggested donation will
help the East Cape Recycling Baja efforts to grow and expand to
create a more sustainable future. Bring your friends, family or make

of Wind, someone stole my husband's truck keys, belt, cash and
wedding ring right our of his pockets after the beer pong party at
