We would like to thank all the wonderful folks in our great
community for their generous donations towards Itzayana Silva’s
cause during Smokey’s fundraiser on Sunday. Your donations
together with our portion of proceeds from the event totaled
$18,900 pesos! You people never cease to make us feel proud to
be part of this community as you always seem to be there when
someone is in need. Muchisimos Gracias!
FYI, the money raised is to be turned over to a trusted member
of our community who will act as a trustee of the funds until
such time as they are needed for Iztayana’s operation.
We wanted to make special mention of Lyle Anudsen
who donated a beautiful fish print of a huge Roosterfish towards
Itzayana Silva’s cause at Smokey’s. The awesome print sold for
$900 pesos and Lyle’s generosity was greatly appreciated!
FYI, if you happen to be interested in having one of your fish
printed you can usually find Lyle on the dock at Palmas de
Cortes between 1:00-3:00 p.m. on most days. Or if you want to
see some examples of Lyle’s art, we have many prints on display
inside the smokehouse that we sell on his behalf.
