ARMANDO - O Neg Blood is still
needed!

I just got off the phone with Paulie, Armando's wife. She was
waiting for him to come out of surgery. They where placing screw to
hold things together in his wrist and his hand. He has another
surgical repair next week for his right leg and knee. The fracture
of that leg is a clean break, but it is too swollen at this time to
operate. He also has fractures on left leg and an ankle. Left arm is
broken and the shoulder is broken as well as his clavicle. The
impact was on his left so most of the injuries are on that side. No
ribs were involved. No internal injuries.
He is sedated, of course, and is very depressed. His
nephew is released to family in La Paz but still has some episodes
of neurological deficits due to brain swelling and is on bed rest
and medication.
Paulie is spending 24/7 with him at the hospital. She
is holding up very well. Kids are being taken care of by family so
she can devote her time to caring for Armando. As you can imagine,
Armando is very depressed.
If you call or visit him, Paulie asks you do not reveal details of
crash to him.
Of course, blood donations are still needed. He is O
negative, but any donation will be accepted and credited to him.
Armando has many friends in our community and he and Paulie are
grateful for all you kind wishes and prayers.
