Crossroads down San Jose way.....Saturday June 16, John "New York Johnny" Molea, a one man band will be playing at the Crossroads Country Club in Vinorama. We are located just North of the junction of the East Cape coast road and the Palo Escopeta Road. Our restaurant is located on a private beach in a very contemporary building. We have indoor and outdoor seating, with the million dollar view. Come spend the afternoon with your book or backgammon game. We serve delicious and very fresh food, Mexican, Italian and of course we offer burgers. On Wednesdays we serve pizza in our restaurant or in to go.

I recently had some welding work done by Hernando Macias ("Hernando's Welding Zone") located by the "shortcut" and across the road from Jose Luis' blockeria. The work was more fabrication than simple welding, though Hernando certainly did a fine welding job as part of the project. The job was finished when he said it would be and he insisted on installing it (a garage gate modification) at night, finishing around 9 p.m. His price was outstanding for the amount of work and he made some "field changes" at his insistence when he saw that some additional touches would make the project better. His English excellent and he did much of the work on site after fabricating the gate at his shop. We're down to one welder in town; it would be a shame to lose such a talented and industrious young man. Give him a chance, no matter how small you think the job may be...or even if it's so big that you're thinking of going out of town to get it done. Ed
