Has anyone using the new Pemex just north of town experienced water in the fuel? Last time I filled my tank with diesel was two weeks ago and last week I used the truck for the first time only to have the engine fail and I was sure something had broke internally only to be told by Cummings in La Paz it was due to a high percentage of water in the fuel. If anyone else has experienced this I'd like to hear from them. gaaredwards@gmail.com

Just wanted to say I finally went to Los Pescadores for dinner and it was awesome. Their mixed green salad with a vinaigrette was the best. My dorado steak with mango salsa was cooked PERFECTLY- flakey moist and tender. I highly recommend checking Patti and her staff out for a great meal!

I have to tell everyone how wonderful the food is at La Fogata, on the north end of the main drag in Los Barriles. Norma is a master of sauces, and her shrimp diablo and pescado veracruzano are plate licking good. Also wonderful is her chicken salad, and probably the best heuvos rancheros in Baja! July 14, 2012 UVERDE Rummage Sale will be held at the Park 8am-noon next to the Library. (the librrary is in the in the little "V" park at the entrance to Palmas del Cortez, Los Barriles) All proceeds go to our non-profit organization. Since 2007, UVERDE has worked with local schools, summer education programs, organized town clean ups, provided an umbrella for East Cape Recycling Baja and managed to build a strong foundation for an organization that works to benefit our current and future quality of life, by raising awareness.   TODOS SANTOS:  Junior Lifeguard Program - July 2012 - Junior Lifeguards returns to Todos Santos this July 2012! This fun aquatic program is designed for students between the ages of 9 and 18. Participants will receive instruction in the following: Basic Water Safety, Flotation, Rip Currents, Emergency First Aide, Snorkeling, Kayaking, Boogie boarding Stand-up Paddle boarding, and surfing. Basic Swimming skills will be taught, and lifejackets are provided for ocean kayaking and snorkeling.  The Instructors:
