Benito Juárez Day In Mexico - Monday, March 19, is a national Mexican holiday commemorating the birthday of President Benito Juárez. Schools, Government offices, banks and some businesses will be closed. This day commemorates President Benito Juárez's birthday on March 21, 1806. Juárez is popularly regarded as an exemplary politician because of his liberal policies that, among other things, defined the traditionally strict separation of the church and the Mexican state. Article 74 of the Mexican labor law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) provides that the third Monday of March (regardless the date) will be an official holiday in Mexico. As with Constitution Day, the holiday was originally celebrated every year on the same date (March 21), but the federal labor law was modified in 2005 so the holiday is always celebrated on a Monday (Source: Wikipedia). The first annual Festival del Caballo will be held at the stadium on March 25, 2012. Anyone who would like to ride with the Cabalgata from Puente La Muela to the Stadium, (behind the Pemex station in town) is welcome to join. Leaving at 9:30 AM and arriving in town around 12 PM. Next follows the show at the stadium with trick ropers, reining horses, dancing horses and Escaramuza from La Paz and Los Cabos. Several other events will also be happening during the performance, black smithing and equipment for sale. Lowest Airfares - ITA Software is offering "Matrix Airfare Search,"
matrix.itasoftware.com/search.htm, a site that will locate and
display the lowest airfares over an entire month across most
airlines on a single calendar page. It's easy to use, and
(currently) free of advertising. I was able to locate a round-trip
flight between San Jose Del Cabo and Sacramento on April 27 for
$497. Fares on other dates ranged as high as $931. Searching for a
round trip from La Paz to Sacramento revealed fares from $647 to

WOW, what a great day on the water. Both Captain Luis & Captain Adan dilligently sought out marine life even when it meant doubling back on our course. We swam with the porpoises, literally touched the small flying ray & majestically large Manta, viewed Bottlenose porpoises & a variety of whales from close proximity including a turtle basking itself in the sun. We cooled off snorkelling at near the Bay of Dreams & topped it off with a wonderful lunch at the Grand Suenos restaurant-model train bar hosted by the owner-proprietor Steve Games.
