     Eldon’s final duty as president of the Los Barriles Rotary Club will be presiding over A FANCIFUL MOTHER’S DAY DINNER AND AUCTION, to be held on May 13, between 5:30-9:00 at
Hotel Los Pescadore. This is the local Rotary Club’s largest yearly fundraiser and an opportunity for those who have enjoyed the previous events sponsored by Rotary this past year, to join us for dinner and participate in a silent auction of beautiful art and pottery, vacation getaway’s, tourist activities, fine dining, spa packages, and more!      What has Rotary done within the community the last year? Sponsored a diabetes educational program, which has provided free screening for nearly 700 individuals in the East Cape area, eye exams, and oral dental programs for school-age children, and treatment—all in conjunction with the East Cape Health Center.  In addition, Rotary has provided 21 college students with financial scholarships, maintained our Hurricane Fund and Dengue fever spray equipment (just in case...), maintained our fountain, provided support for Noe’s ‘save the turtle program’, assisted with events during ‘Lord of the Winds’, recognized two great Los Barriles citizens during the Amistad Award Banquet, and even created our own Carnival Parade! Plus a few other events. Rotary is deeply appreciative of your past support and look forward to seeing you at the MOTHER’S DAY DINNER AND AUCTION.
