Rotary is again hosting the final event of the
season on May 13th. This year the theme is “AFanciful Mother's Day”.
It will be held at the Hotel Los Pescadores, starting at 5:50 pm.
There will be a musical social hour, dinner prepared by some of the
best cooks in the community and a silent auction that is sure to
offer something you can't resist - everything from art, resort
hotels, tourist activities, jewelry and much more.
Extended warranty –
Dell’s extended warranties may NOT cover hardware failures!!! Others
do not cover software failures. A close friend brought me a computer
to check because the screen was flashing streaks of color during the
initial boot sequence. As I moved the hinges between the keyboard
and screen, the streaks were worse. That usually indicates a failure
of the cable that connects the screen to the motherboard on a
laptop. My friend had purchased an extended warranty from Dell for
$240 usd. I called Dell with her to explain the issues. Dell Tech
support informed us that the extended warranty covers only software.
Most extended warranties are written to enhance the profitability of
the company and not the individual. Important: If you make the
initial product purchase using a Gold, Platinum, or enhanced credit
card, the credit card company doubles the original warranty. Check
the fine print of your credit card. You will need to save the
original sales receipt to make that happen. If you purchase a
computer from a big box store like Best Buy, walk over to the Repair
Desk and ask them if their warranty covers software and hardware.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the committee
who worked so hard to have Dancing Under the Stars this year.
The band was fantastic and the food was especially good. There were
many waiters/waitresses who took care of our every need. The
fire dancers were outstanding, too. The items at the silent auction

It appears that the only kind of wicker furniture you can purchase
here is made of resiin. Would anyone please respond as to their
