Let’s talk Immigration– Francisco Gonzalez from Southern Baja Legal Services | LEXSUR Group in La Paz along with newly hired Matt (Mateo) Carroll will be hosting an informative talk on immigration issues this upcoming Saturday, November the 3rd at Smokey's Rest. in Los Barriles starting at 11am to about 2pm. We encourage all foreigners who might have a question on immigration FM Visas (regular or working), obtaining Permanent Resident status or Mexican Citizenship to come-out and talk to us. Our purpose is to teach foreigners everything there is to know about immigration with a strong emphasis on the new immigration law: such as the benefit of having an FM visa, the differences in visas, how to get one, which one is right for you (if any), should you apply before or after the new law (this is important for those considering applying for FM2 work visa), and understanding your overall rights & obligations. And, if anyone would like to apply for or renew a visa right there, after the talk, we will have a laptop and printer ready to fill-out forms and letters to bring back to La Paz, same with a camera to take the immigration accepted pictures so you do not need to go out of town to get them.
So, bring your notepad and come on out to Smokey's Restaurant this Saturday, Nov. 3rd, at 11am. We look forward to seeing you there. Sheila from ALMA who allowed us to help out at the vet clinic, useless though we were, Patti, Dewey, Donna and the rest of the gang at Los Pescadores for giving us the lowdown and some good times, Paul at LunaSea for books and advice, Pat Sprague for quad assistance, Julie Marks and Katie from Wolf-PM, always helpful and patient with us in our house search and taking care of our accommodations, Jim Stangerone and Ron Corder for a wonderful evening at their beautiful home, Noe for teaching us a little about the turtles, Char Wenger for educating us about health care, and so many other nice people.
