PEPPER SPRAY DISCUSSION
a.  In regards to pepper spray another good product for protection is hornet spray which has a range of at least 15 feet and is legal. It is also a good item for women who are driving alone or at night and should be available at Home Depot or other hardware stores. Hasta Baja Fred

b.  Regarding you query, pepper spray etc. I do not know of any law which specifically prohibits those substances but this been said there are dispositions regarding causing harm to another. In other words if you were to use such a substance against someone you would be committing a crime according to art. 261. of the penal Code. Mexico does not have a "stand you ground law" the rule is that if you are subject to an attack you can defend yourself from the aggressor but not in a manner to cause more arm than you are receiving.  And in the event that you could not prove that there was an intention of arming you then the offended party would be in his or her right to claim compensation.

ROAD REPORT

a.  Also, road to Cabo Pulmo southbound clear until 500 yards before snorkel beach. Road to snorkel beach impassable without 4-wheel drive. Beach palapas torn to shreds and lots of debris making the beach unswimmable.  (received 2 days ago)

b.  Friends arrived in Tripui/Puerto Escondido via the bus from La Paz @ mid-night last night so the road is passable.

c.  Wednesday/Thursday 10/17-10/18 - Tijuana to Ensenada toll road North bound lanes being repaved. Slow going south for 4 miles.  San Vincinte to Camalu road widening to 4 lanes.
Mulege to San Ignacio 7 road washouts, 4 bridges damaged. ALL PASSABLE!
