WATER UPDATE:
8:30am - note from Dennis: The main Los Barriles pump (arroyo)
is down and has been taken to La Paz. City center will not be
affected much but all areas north of the arroyo will be on limited
water with some of the higher areas without. System should be back
to normal by Thursday.
The Telmex outage over the weekend was due to vandalism of all the
grounding wires from the sub-station which caused serious damage
during the power failures. Regards, Dennis

The whales are traveling south and come into our
shallow coves and coastline to rest. I would remind everyone of
Whale Watching Guidelines to stay at least 150ft off of any whale
and any marine mammal and not to cut their path at any time. That's
1/2 of a football field folks! They become stressed when crowed by
kayaks, swimmers, SUPs, and of course motorized boats. This means
that in addition to feeling threatened, they will not surface to
breath at regular intervals which for obvious reasons hurts them,
nor be able to rest in these waters as needed and become much more
susceptible to shark and Orca attacks off of Cabo Pulmo as they
journey around. I watched from shore today as an already distressed
Grey Whale tried to swim close to shore to rest and was harassed by
the "curious" of Agua de la Costa in Kayaks, SUPs and Boats. Please
realize that your actions have adverse affects on these great
creatures. Thanks.

the Amigos de Animales of La Ribera will be having their annual Bean
Soup Dinner at La Trinidad Restaurant in La Ribera. Please join us

b. Anybody know of a repair service for
sit-on-top polyethylene plastic kayaks? My Ocean Scrambler had a
nasty fall after the wind blew it down from its storage rack couple
days ago, and ended up with a ten inch long crack near the
waterline. Maybe somebody in LB or Buenavista has a suitable piece
of plastic for a patch, and expertise in the kind of "soldering" or

on Saturday, the 13th, at La Trinidad Bar and Restaurant in La
Ribera. Both shows begin at 7:00, and we hope to see you there!
