4-27--Let’s go do it! Registration for the Dias del Nino
(Special Children’s Day) Tournament is only $50.00 and
includes team t-shirts, with sign-ups at the Palapa Buenavista
between 3 – 6 p.m. You can take as many as 4 kids! This is a
chance for you to instill the love of fishing in your special
youth (s) and a chance to win great prizes such as a bike,
laptop, tablet and more!
The East Cape
Sportfishing Club would like to thank club members and the
community for all of the great prizes they have received so far;
we hope to have enough for everyone! After visiting the
local schools and hearing about last year’s inaugural event, 100
youth are anticipated this year! So get your boats out and
tackle ready, this year the targeted species are bottomfish. For

del Nino (Special Children’s Day) Tournament at the Palapa
Buenavista. Fishing hours are from 7 to noon, weigh-ins from 10 to 1
at the Palapa Buenavista and awards to follow from 1 to 2 p.m. Even
if you don’t fish, consider stopping by to watch and support this
great event and check out the smiles on everyone’s proud faces!
It’s all about the opportunity to Motivate and Educate our future
anglers and conversationalists within our community!

Celebrate With Us! Here’s the details from our previous Pony ad.
The Spa Buena Vista Beach Resort will be hosting this Cinco de
Mayo event (celebrated mostly in the U.S.) with a goal of
introducing our U.S East Cape guests to a sampling of Mexico.
We’ll be supporting a local
Mariachi band (we always try to support our community!) with
live music on the beach, along with a Mexican Buffet and
bonfire. In addition, the
Awards Ceremony for the Tres Pez Tournament
will be held from 5-6 p.m. (BPE#1644). Dinner is from 6:30 to
9:00 p.m. This event is filling up fast so make your

Buena
Fortuna in La Ribera: Come for a tour of this
incredible jungle oasis rich with diversity in the heart of the
Baja desert. Buena Fortuna, a true manifestation of botanical
abundance, was started over a decade ago with seeds and plants
collected from all over the world by world renowned botanist,
Gabriel Howearth. The site, in La Ribera, Baja Sur Mexico is
home to over 3,500 species of plants from around the world, the
result of a lifetime of research and collection from Gabriel’s
travels. The gardens are organized botanically by plant
families, designed in combination with permaculture principles,
and shaped in diverse symbolic forms, such as the Vitamin
Pyramid garden, or the Tree of Life garden. Guided tours are
offered every Saturday starting at 10:00 am.
Tours include refreshments $150 pesos per person.
Produce, landscape design consultations, exotic nursery plants,
compost and rare organic seeds also available. To make

the entrance to La Ribera which is approximately 7miles or 12km
east from Las Cuevas it is located on the north side of the road
across the street from Cabo Rivirea office. Look for the big yellow
