Scotia Bank Mexico has just raised the minimum
balance for free checking on US dollar accounts from $500US to
$1000US. Monthly charges for accounts below $1000US are now charged
at $35US plus $3.85US IVA for total monthly maintenance fee of
$38.85. Discovered this while checking my monthly statement online,
