lost another of our La Capilla Friends this past weekend.
After a 2 year battle with Cancer our friend Patti Winn joined her
Lord on > Saturday night. She fought a very hard fight, and always

EL TRIUNFO ART FESTIVAL, Sunday,
March 17, 2013, 9am-3pm.This year's festival will provide
financial support to local youth sports programs. There will be
music groups and dancers performing on the outdoor stage. The
Piano Museum will have music and poetry reading throughout the
day. Food will be for sale.
Local and international artists are invited to participate.
Three meter by three meter spaces are available for 200 pesos
with your own table and shade. Inquire about availability of
tables/shade when you register with Maryzonia Diaz at

you want to exhibit, and any questions you may have. All artist

The airlines have a new method to increase
fares on the unsuspecting. Here is the scenario. You use a
search engine (a rake) such as Kayak.com, Mobissimo,
Travelocity, etc to look for cheap, competitive airfares. You
find one and the search site connects you to the individual
airline site. You look at it and then compare it to other
search engine results. Things are looking great. You go back
and forth a couple of time to compare departure and arrival
times. The web sites leave a cookie on your computer (99% of
the time cookies are good). That cookie can help you reference
that same flight info. You begin to notice that the price is
climbing. What's happened is that the airline's web site knows
your interested now and that cookie tells them you have visited
that flight before. Here's what to do, change your browser. If
you used Internet Explorer, plug that same information into
Firefox or Chrome. If your a little tech savy, you can clear
the cookies. Easier for most people to change browsers or use
another computer. The price may just drop. A friend last week
watched the price climb $100 to fly here in March. She put down
the ipad and used the computer to save that $100.
A friend boarded a smaller jet in LA for a flight to a
smaller airport. There wasn't enough room in the overhead so
the airline put his bag down below. His computer was in the
checked bag! The motherboard was damaged upon arrival. Never
check your computer.
Remember, surge protectors or strip protects do very little to
protect your electronics. Laptop, ipad, phone and desktop power
supplies can be severely damaged by brown outs here. I use
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) units to protect everything
from my Dish Receiver, TV, cell phones, remote phones and DSL
