Circuit
Training for Strong Bones
Annalisa will
be leading a new and different type of bone building /strength
training class at the Yoga Center beginning on January 8. We
will be using the Super Slow approach to building muscle This
method incorporates very slow repetition speeds as compared to
traditional resistance training methods, with emphasis on
minimizing acceleration to reduce the force the body is exposed
to during exercise and improve muscular loading. Super Slow
workouts typically consist of one set of each exercise carried
out to complete muscle fatigue.
This approach to building strength is appropriate for any
fitness level because you will be lifting relatively light
weights, but lifting them so slowly that you will go to muscle
fatigue within two minutes. Muscle fatigue indicates that you
are building muscle AND strengthening bones. If you have
osteopenia, this is a must!
Give it a try on Tuesday, January 8 at 10 AM. This first
session is FREE.
Classes are also given on Fridays at 8:30 AM

Thursday will again interfere with solid wind but Friday(14kn) and
Saturday(17kn) should bring better conditions in to Sunday(14kn).
Then Monday(11kn) shows a lull but Tuesday(16-18kn) looks solid as
pressure drops, and the sky clears, until Wednesday(12-13kn),
followed by a gradual decrease on Thursday(10kn).
