FYI, two friends left their locked rental car in
the driveway about 4:00PM Tues. the 29th in Buenas Aires to come in
for a visit. When they left, 15 minutes later, they found the car
had been broken into and her purse and backpack were taken. A large
white SUV was suspiciously seen before, and speeding away after. A
reminder, don't leave anything in your cars.

AIRPORT REPORT: Looks
like they are trying to get it together at the airport.
Here's the latest report:
Picked up some friends at
airport yesterday and talked to security, etc and got more
details.
There are two pay lots at
Terminal 2. The entrance gate/ticket machine for the east lot
does not work (but no signage telling you this fact). It is used
for employee parking. So, if you try entering, you end up
backing up out into the street and going around again.
The west lot (right hand side
when approaching) is the one you use. It is marked VIP parking
and is the public lot.
You either go up the stairs to
the departure area (and then down in interior to arrivals or you
can walk south around the east corner of the pay lot and walk to
the arrivals area. Sidewalk is narrow and not the best for
hauling luggage.
Security said you can pick up
arrivals at upper level (departure area). Only restriction is no
more than 5 minutes idle time (no parking in that area). He said
to tell people with luggage to take the elevator from arrivals
(lower level) to upper level, head out the door and you have
curbside pickup.
Today, United is moving all
operations to Terminal 1 (United/Continental).
American, US Air, etc are all
moving to Terminal 2 pronto.
Terminal 1 will only have
Mexican national airlines and United.
All other airlines will be
using Terminal 2.
No longer need to go to
Terminal 1 for any Immigration paperwork. Processing center is
at departure area, Terminal 2.

Smokey’s Super Bowl Menu has been
finalized and there is something for everyone. FYI, ALL drinks
on special ALL Day including 18 oz. drafts! Please note that we are
currently taking reservations for any amount of people. We will hold
reservations until 1:00 p.m. on game day. This year we have more
tents, more seating and more TV’s (17 in all) so there’s not a bad
seat. Big Jim and the Revolving Door will provide entertainment
prior to the game starting at approx 12:30 p.m. Almost as exciting,
two Port O Potties will be on site so no long wait times there.
Plenty of football pool squares and Vizio TV raffle tickets
available now until game day. Also, all food and drink transactions
will be by ticket at the time of purchase. Food and drink tickets
will be readily available at our raffle ticket/football pool table
at a cost of $10 pesos per ticket. Leftover tickets CAN be redeemed
for cash upon your departure, but CANNOT be used for tips so cold
hard cash is king there. As always, it should be a great party so
get your backside down to Smokey’s 6th Annual and let us
quench your piehole this Super Sunday!
