FISHING LICENSES: All
the resorts we were given the option to have a system to get the
licenses without a credit card. People can still come over to Spa
for example between
6-8pm to buy a fishing license with
cash, and we get them online with a different system. Palmas,
Playa, Martin Verdugos and Hotel Buenavista were the first ones to
be part of this new system. I'm not sure if they are already online,
but I am, so you can say that people can come here to get one if
they don’t want to buy them online with CC. Saludos! Felipe

EAST CAPE RECYCLING BAJA Report - The local kids at Cursos de Verano
(Summer Courses) pulled out all the stops for the third and final
week of the Recycling Contest sponsored by East Cape Recycling Baja.
It was HUGE. They doubled
the amount of recyclables collected in the first two weeks combined.
In the third week the kids collected over 800 kilos, with a total of
plastic and aluminum collected over the whole program weighing over
1230 kilos or 2712 lbs! That's 1.36 TONS of recyclables
collected by our local kids!!! We are totally blown away...or
maybe we should say, that's 1.36 tons of recyclables that will NOT
be blown away with the next storm. Pretty impressive!
There were 11 Grand Winners who, with one parent, went
on a fishing trip
on Monday, on the Awesome and
Too Awesome Sport Fishing boats, donated by Theresa Comber. What
a great day! The kids saw Orca whales, porpoises, turtles, and
each boat caught a Blue Marlin!!! All the kids had a turn
reeling in the fish and the each group was photographed with
their catch! Many thanks to Theresa and her terrific captains
Luis and Adan, as well as deckhands Luis and Joel who made the
day so special for these terrific kids.
Support the kids and help us protect Mother Earth by
reducing, reusing and recycling. The final recycling day of
the summer is

NEEDED! Please secure and store all recyclable during the
hurricane season. We will be accepting recyclables at the
recycling center starting
