all. There could be easier ways of doing the work, but it looks

Twice before I left for the summer, two friends
spilt fluids on their keyboards. Here are the emergency
instructions. For desktop keyboards, immediately turn the keyboard
upside down. If its plugged into the tower, unplug it. It it's
wireless, remove the batteries. Let it dry for a week! If its too
sticky to use, rinse with clear water and let dry for a week. If
its a laptop, turn it upside down immediately, unplug the power cord
and remove the battery. Know how to do this ahead of time. In both
cases you need to keep the fluids from shorting the circuit boards!
That requires eliminating the electricity! You really need a
backup strategy for your important photos and documents. You never
know who will spill the coffee!
The same water issue is true for cell phones and toilets. Cell
phones are not "pottie trained"! If you have a phone with a
removable battery, learn how to remove it. If you have an iPhone,
you better power down fast. There is a water sensor in every cell
phone, the techs will know if your phone has had swimming lessons.
If you have an iPhone that took diving lessons, send your wife or
daughter to the apple store to plead for mercy with the "genius"!
