Wanted! Bottle caps and plastic grocery
bags!
East Cape Recycling Baja is providing environmental
education at Cursos de Verano (the summer school program for
local kids), together with Wildcoast, Yo Riciclo and Niparaja.
We need your support in collecting some additional recyclables
for special craft projects for the kids. If you have a
collection of plastic grocery bags that you do not put in the
trash (because you know how bad they are for the environment),
we need them...in fact we need 500, yes that is two
zeros! We also need 500 soda bottle caps. Even if you are
not a regular recycler, please help us out. Drop off your
plastic grocery bags and soda bottles (we will keep the caps and
recycle the bottles for you) at the East Cape Casas & RV Resort
office, located on 20 de Noviembre across from the Modelorama
and next to Otra Vez restaurant in Los Barriles. Thanks for you

Baja Ink and More
I have some other interesting facts
about Cartridges I would like to pass on to the LB Community
and beyond so that you have the best printer for YOUR needs.
I mentioned last week about the small HP Cartridges with the
print head on them. These black Cartridges only hold about 5
to 10 milliliters of ink. The tri-color (HP 122 or 901) only
hold about 4ml per color. So if you do the math (4ml. X 3)
that's 12ml total for all 3 colors. Some HP and some Canon
have these tri-color Cartridges, (Canon's are a little
bigger though, and both Co's make X-Large cartridges too.)
If you purchase a Inkjet Printer that has one Cartridge per
color, these Cartridges hold from 10 to 20ml or more of ink
per color. And these cartridges will last 3 to 5 times
longer. Oh by the way!!! I have a 1 set of Brother LC 51 and
a 1 set of LC61 monster size Cartridges. The black hold
100ml of ink and each color hold 80ml of ink. These will
cost a lot more to fill, but why not refill once a year or
so than every month or 2? The best Printer for YOU will
depend on how much printing you do, and if you don't mind
buying new Cartridges or if you want the ones you have
refilled and/or if you want the ink estimator chip reset.
