Yesterday,  we witnessed a large plume of black smoke on the "road to nowhere" up the mountainside and later drove up to see what had happened. We found this still smoldering wreck of a car. There was a stream of fuel along the road as well as evidence of melting metal so it looked like the driver noticed the fire, stopped the car and jumped out in time. Hope the person is okay. a.  We have had spotty information on the road which cuts off above Bahia de Los Angeles and traverses the area along the coast to Puertocitos. Reports are that the road is paved and passable except for approximately 20 km. If anyone has information on this stretch of road, please contact me as I am interested in taking this route north, during the next week, if feasible. Muchas gracias!
