a. Car Rental Discussion via the Venta
View: Re: discussion mexican car rental. I have only
had occasion to rent a vehicle in Baja 2 or 3 times. Although the
first occasion was some time ago (maybe 1999) I will recount my
experience as it seems to add some pertinent info to the discussion.
I was charged the rather exorbitant daily insurance fee as you have
discussed, after being advised (by the car rental agency) that my
premium visa card coverage was not valid in Mexico. This added up to
something like $500USD. So upon my return to Canada I contacted the
Canadian chartered bank that issued the visa card to verify. They
insisted that the coverage was indeed valid in Mexico. They followed
up this conversation by asking me to send them a copy of my rental
agreement. I then received a full credit for the approx $500USD that
I paid to the car rental company. On subsequent rentals I have
declined the (optional) insurance coverage in the continued belief
that I am covered with my visa card. RussellC
b. Our whale trip with Octavio was over the top!! From travel
and meals to out on the water to touch, hug and kiss the whales--it
was unbelievable--a once in a lifetime experience. We highly

e. Can any one in Ponyville provide me with information/advice
re availability of vegan foodstuffs in Baja, especially the L/B
area? I am wondering about animal product substitutes, fresh veggies
during the summer, bakery goods and so on. This is not a philosophic
decision on my part but has recently been prescribed by my physician
so anything that would aid me keeping to the path would be most
helpful. I really have extremely low self discipline, maybe there is
