El Triunfo Festival de Arte, Sunday, March 17th, 2013,
9am-5pm. This is an all-day event featuring local, national, and
international artists. Displays will be open from 9am to 3pm. Dance
and music on the outdoor stage, under the direction of La Cultura
Municipal de La Paz, begins at 3pm. Invited artist,
Luna Itzel, is said to have one of
the most beautiful and expressive voices on Mexico’s contemporary
music scene. Piano and poetry events in the Museo de la
Musica begin at 11am. Pianists will give 40 minute performances
beginning with guest musicians JONATHAN, Puerto Rican Pianist, at
11:30am, and CRUZ HALLE, Pianist with LOYDA VAZQUEZ, Soprano
Vocalist at 4:00pm. CHRISTIAN SCHLEIFER, Resident Pianist, will
perform at 1:30pm, playing selections from Gershwin, Bernstein, and
other composers as time permits. Attention all artists:
Three meter by three meter spaces are available for 200 pesos with
your own table and shade. Inquire about availability of tables/shade

puppies the other day! Mama & puppies are doing fine. Right now, the
mom is feeding them, but soon the puppies will need bagged food. If
anyone can pick up an extra bag of food & donate it for the puppies
& also for several other dogs we feed, it would be much appreciated.
If you have food to donate, please call Lynda at 130-0091, or Debbie
at 130-0316. Food may also be dropped off at Homes and Land of Baja,
located on the main street in Los Barriles across from Modelarama &
the veggie store. We will be happy to pick up any donations. Thank
you all so much for helping us care for these animals.

East Cape Community Dental Clinic just completed a very
rewarding 3 day Dental Extraction program. We were able to
provide extractions, some multiple molars, for 75 local
individuals who would otherwise not have this service available
at no cost. The response was overwhelming. We would like to
thank the community, our team of volunteers, specialists and
Dental sponsors for the hands on education, fantastic treatment
and top of the line dental equipment. We continue to strive for
excellence in our efforts to provide professional, safe services
in a spotlessly clean Dental Clinic for the East Cape Community.
Feedback is always welcomed. Our school programs with dental
education and preventative treatment to the children will
continue each Nov, at no cost to the families. Local support and
volunteers are always welcomed.
