Nearly 200 people seemed to be having a whale of
a time at the East Cape Guild's Monte Carlo Night last Saturday.
This was the most attended and most profitable event the Guild has
ever held. We thank all of those of you who participated by buying
tickets and/or bidding on Silent Auction items. We could not hold
this event without the help of many Guild and community members who
volunteered to deal blackjack, run craps tables, work the bar or
fill the many other jobs required for this event. Thanks also to
Felipe Valdez and his staff from Buena Vista Resort for providing a
beautiful venue and a wonderful meal. And lastly, a big public
thanks to Jennifer Rayor who headed up the whole thing. Remember
that all profits go to provide scholarships to our local East Cape
high school students.
