Recently, I have noticed that customs has become a lot
more extensive in its collections of duties. I will be bringing
down my truck, atv and a couple of items (dvd player,
binoculars, linens) for the house. I know that the truck will not
need a temporary importation permit. What can I expect as far as
the other items? Am I looking at paying 16% of the value of all
these items? Most of them are used and several years old so no
receipts. I would greatly appreciate some input and other people's
experiences with customs from San Diego. I also need to know if
there is a required form for another individual to transport my
vehicle. Thanks!

Hi Fellow Travelers,
We always cross at Tecate. If you are a member or join Discover Baja
Travel Club, you can pay the fee to them online with a credit card
and they mail you your travel visas. Then at the border, you only go
into the immigration office once, show them the bank receipt and
visas that the travel club sent you and they stamp your visa. One
stop shopping!! Have a great trip.We are heading down
