a. Mosquitos: There have been
past posts from a guy about screening your plumbing vents to get rid
of mosquitos. I finally decided to give it a try, and it works! I
used to battle mosquitos biting my ankles on our patio any time of
day; but after screening all of our vents on the roof, now I only
get bit once in a while. Could be from my neighbors vents. I just
used a piece of screen and a 2" clamp for each vent. Thanks to that

About the artists
performing at Hotel Los Pescadores
Oct 19th
Santos Cota is a native of Ensenada, Baja
California Norte. He received a piano concert
performance degree at the Conservatory of Saint
Cecilia in Rome, Italy, and received his masters
degree from the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica in
Mexico City. Satnos is a composer of note and his
publisher is Ars Nova in the United States. He is
currently professor of theory and piano at the
Escuela de Artes, UABC, Ensenada BCN
Qiong Hulsey was trained in the Chinese
Conservatory system. She has been the concertmaster of
the Salt Lake Symphony and is currently a full time
violinist with the Fort Worth Symphony.
Kurt Sprenger received his doctorate in
performance from USC. He has concertized worldwide and
on the popular front with the likes of Dudley Moore and
Rod Stewart. He is currently a performer with the Fort
Worth Symphony, Fort Worth, Texas and a member of the
Dallas Chamber Orchestra, in addition to being a
professor at the Southwest Baptist Seminary, a
University in Fort Worth.
The gentleman that approached me to hold this concert
is: John Boyle is the director of Interamericas
Academia de Musica in La Paz. It is a private music
school with emphasis on a classical format in teaching.
They offer individual lessons in piano, violin, voice
and guitar. They have our own text books to instruct in
fundamentals of music, solfeggio, musicianship, and ear
training, and use standard college texts for theory and
counterpoint.
