WEATHER REPORT 6
PDT-9/6/23: I have received several on-site
reports from Los Barriles.
Rain is off and on, moderate to heavy but NO
reports of damage and to date, minimal wind. If anyone is
driving in the next few days, please send a report. I'll print
"WOW' photos!

purchase 3rd party liability insurance. 7 to 14 Pacificos a day
extra. If not you go to jail with accident until its resolved.
Does Baja Mexico require basic Liability insurance on all there
rental cars? Or does it come with it

My wife
and I are driving from Phoenix AZ to Buena Vista. It will be
our second time down the Baja. The first time we drove from
San Diego, so the route was relatively straightforward. Now
that we are coming from Phoenix, we have choices, and we are
disagreeing about the best route. (1) We could drive west to
SanDiego and south through Tecate as we did last year. OR
(2) We could drive southwest to Mexicali and south on Mexico
Rt. 5 through San Felipe until we intersect Mexico Rt. 1. OR
(3) We could proceed south through Nogales and Hermosillo
and take the ferry to La Páz from Topolobampo. What route do
YOU think we should take and why? We'll be driving during
the third week of September. Thanks.
