Bancomer Wire Transfer Fees: "I checked my
Bancomer Dollar account today to verify my deposit made recently
into my Bancomer Dollar Account. I noticed that there was a $34.80
charge that was debited from that account. I always keep my
necessary minimum balance so I don’t have a monthly charge on the
account. So, I called Bancomer and talked with Miguel, and he said
that now, Bancomer is charging a wire transfer fee for direct
deposit and wire transfers into your Bancomer dollar account. It
will always be a $34.80 no matter what you deposit. So, for me, it
adds up to almost $100 of my hard earned money being charged to that
initial deposit. I get charged in the US to wire the money, and then
the middle transit US bank charges an amount, and now, Bancomer is
also charging me to deposit money into my dollar account. So, I
asked Miguel if I was to bring a check for the amount I usually
build up in my Mex Dollar account, and then just deposit a check to
pay for my yearly rent, then there is no charge! "

Curso de Verano for 100 children from Los Barriles. They learned
about computer skills, cooking , swimming, chess, recycling,
folklore dancing, drawing, played ball games, danced Zumba and a
lot more. Every group worked hard to put demonstrations together
to present to the parents, family and friends. The demonstration
will be on Saturday 9th August, starting 6.30pm at the Cancha
(next Tio Pablo's). Come by and be part of the mexican fiesta.

QUESTIONS

a. We're having a house built in southern Baja, and will be driving
across the border (through either San Diego-Tijuana or Tecate) with
a very large enclosed trailer filled with clothes, used furniture,
used and new appliances, and other household goods. This will be
our first time driving down, and we would much appreciate any advice
regarding keeping that process as smooth as possible. We have been
told many different things about how to do this, but one common item
has been to have every bit of paperwork (vehicle titles, passports,
birth & marriage certificates, etc) readily available, and we will
absolutely do that. Have you done this recently? Do you know
someone who has? If you have advice on managing the border
