East Cape Baja Beach Bash 1K/5K - March 9th. The 1K for 12 and under

at 8:30 am and is free. The 5K will start at 9am and the cost is 100
pesos. The race will be totally on the beach. It will start at Spa
Buena Vista Hotel, Buena Vista. Please participate by walking or
running. Entry fees will go to help the Guild provide scholarships

restaurant/bar of Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort in Spa BV. Or

Well, it finally happened to me.
I spilled an entire cup of coffee on my keyboard and yes it had
sugar. Luckily I remembered my emergency procedures. No matter what
electronic gizmo you have that has plunged into liquid, the
procedure is the same - remove the power. For keyboards, immediately
turn it upside down! Remove the source of electricity. I cleaned up
the mess and headed to the garage. I had a spray bottle of water and
gently sprayed water into the upside down keyboard to rise the
coffee. I used compressed air to dry the keyboard. It's working
well. I hope my wife doesn't read this episode, I will never live it
down. If this happens to a laptop, turn it upside down and remove
the power by turning it off, removing the battery and removing the
AC power cord. If it happens to your phone, tablet or eBook reader,
turn it off! If you can get to the battery, remove that battery. You
need to let the gizmo dry for twice a long as you think necessary -
days! Now is a good time to look at your devices and develop an
emergency plan just in case. As I found out, it can happen to me.
When is the last time you backed up your data and photos? A single
copy even on an external drive is not a back up. All hard drives
will eventually fail. The majority fail without notice.
Windows XP end of support is April 8, 2014. After that you will have
an insecure XP computer.
