16, not 7 as previously reported. This young girl needs medical
care and medications that are not covered by the Seguro Popular. A
fund to help cover these medical expenses has been set up at the
East Cape Community Urgent Care Clinic located in the Banamex
Plaza, Los Barriles. The next time you are at the
clinic, please donate a few pesos to the fund to help this family.

There is a woman named Dona Joaquina who
has taken over the custody of her two granddaughters and is
in need of our support. Her 16 year old granddaughter has
epilepsy and requires extensive medical care. Dona Joaquina
is selling empanadas and other food at the the community
market to work toward this goal. Please show her your
support by purchasing her food items and donations. She
will have her named posted on her stand. gracias

a. Getting to Los Barriles from SJD airport on the Aguila
bus for only 70 pesos.
Here is what you need to do.
1. From terminal 1 you need to walk to the road where you will
find the local city bus stop (you can also ask one of the locals
where you can catch the bus)
2. Make sure to ask the bus driver if he is going to Santa
Anita, which is the town just north of the airport. The cost of
this bus is only a few pesos ( I think 10 or 12 pesos). This
local bus will drop you off at the Aguila bus terminal in Santa
Anita.
3. Once you are in Santa Anita you can buy your ticket for the
bus that goes to Los Barriles - make sure you tell them that you
need the bus that goes to Los Barriles - the cost is about $70
pesos.
4. The Aguila bus will make stops at every bus stop along the
way, so it's a bit longer then the EcoBaja tours bus. You can
ask the bus driver to drop you off at the entrance of town by
the barrel fountain or at the bus station.
