Lord of the Wind 2015 Schedule  - www.lordofthewindbaja.com

Wednesday, January 14th:
We kick off LOW with our second annual Tamale Cook Off. Come join us and your neighbors for a great community party. Starting at 6pm in the Concha,local chiefs will battle to wind the title of Lord of the Wind Tamale Champion. Our local High School has arranged for over 20 of the best tamale chiefs in the area to enter the event. Enjoy the judging, local dancing and then purchase a tamale dinner, beer and wine, sit back and enjoy local flavors and traditions. All proceeds from the Tamale Cook Off will benefit our local High School.  No tickets necessary.

Thursday, January 15th:
The first day of racing kicks off with Course style racing. Watch the professionals ride foil boards at amazing speeds.

Friday, January 16th:
The third Annual Reggae Party will again be held at Buena Vista Beach Resorts. This party is a highlight of the week's activities. Last year over 200 people joined to enjoy the hospitality of Buena Vista Beach Resort and dance the night away to an awesome Reggae band. Starting at 6pm join us for drinks followed by dinner at 7pm. Then at 8pm get your dancing shoes on. Tickets $25 or $360

Saturday, January 17th:
Join the athletes for a good old fashion Beach Bash. Join us at Lazy Daz bar on the beach for a beach bonfire party. Dance in the sand, enjoy tacos and beer with the competitors. As the night darkens be amazed by our fire dancers. No tickets necessary. All proceeds go to help the La Paz Orphanage.
Racing will feature Freestyle.

Sunday, January 18th
We wrap up the week with the grand Awards Party and Fiesta. See who takes home the all of the prizes including the title of Lord of the Wind. This party features some great food, great sounds and great memories. Starting at 6pm in the Laguna Park ,the Rotary Club will have beer, wind and sodas for sale, come mingle with your friends. Then at 7pm dinner catered by Buena Vista Beach Resort will be served. To top it off the most well known band in the area Flatdog will perform into the night. Sunday's racing will feature Big Air.

a.  Just a little note to any of you who may be crossing at Tecate....as we went through customs and started driving away John was reaching for his seat belt and alongside of us pulled a motorcycle officer....then the game began as usual....follow me to the station...."I have already called in my report to my boss.....so I have to do something"....then we began dealing with this smiling young officer.....we compromised at a 40% discount......I had to sit on my hands to avoid strangling the guy.....The moral here is.....always put your seat belt on before you step on the gas....:).....and ALWAYS sit on your hands... :)
