The new date for the Cabo
Humane Society spay/neuter clinic will be the 5th of February. Pre-
registration at the DIF so we know the amount of medication
necessary. Animals should fast eight hours prior to operation.
Registration on the 5th will be between 8 am and 10 am.

The Lord of the Winds Rotary
Auction. WOW! What an awesome event! Thank you everyone who came and
those who participated in the auction. You made our event a huge
success. A big thank you to Jane Perry, Sandy and Jim Hall, Jana
Melter and Paul Bland our auctioneer, Hank Darlington his assistant,
Susan Ackerman and Cathy Beckley our money collectors and Rodger our
runner. One important note, if you were the person who bid on the 10

GETTING YOUR PROPER DOCUMENTS BEFORE LEAVING FOR MEXICO
We inform Members of the importance of being compliant
with current Mexican regulations. In the past there have been
regulations in existence that might not be enforced, but that
does not mean they will not be at any time.
FMM - The office has been issuing FMM's for many years.
These are prepaid tourist cards so you don't have to stand in
line at the bank at the border.
Please remember that you are now required to get your tourist
card validated at your port of entry. Immigration will not
accept the prepaid FMM at any office other than the one you
listed on your application. The fine is much more painful than
stopping and can save you a trip back to the border.
Some people have waited until Guerrero Negro to have the FMM
validated. That can no longer be done. It must be validated at
the border. All American and Canadian tourists need to obtain an
FMM. They are good for one entry into Mexico not to exceed 180
days. If you are in Mexico more than 180 days out of the year
you can get a temporary or permanent status. If you fly in, an
FMM will be provided for you on the airplane.
If you do not get the prepaid FMM and you plan on
getting it at the border, do not ask for a visa because it is
not a visa, it is a TOURIST CARD. US and Canadian citizens do
not need a visa to get into Mexico, they need a TOURIST CARD.

The latest communication that some of our Members have reported
receiving from former broker Ada Vis refers to Vagabundos not
being able to issue Members FMM's - tourist cards. The accurate
information regarding our program is we are issuing FMM's for
Members today. We have obtained many, many thousands of FMM's
through the years for our Members and this is ongoing. The
program was set up many years ago with Immigration Officials
based on Vagabundos' credentials.
