the power would be off from 9 -5 tomorrow.

days either this Thursday or next Monday so be sure your pilas are
full.
3) I've heard the city water
here in Barriles is going to be turned off from about 9am to 5pm
tomorrow.

Los Barriles has a volunteer blood donor program for emergencies.
Unlike the US, a patient down here needs friends or family to donate
blood when needed. Over the summer, while most of our regular donors
are away, you could save a life. If you are under age 65, basically

Has anyone other than me been
having trouble withdrawing cash from the ATM in LB? This would be as
of 11 am yesterday the 18th.
A desk clerk or manager said it was a generalized problem with all
accounts from foreign banks. Moreover, that this problem was
particular only to smaller pueblos in Baja Sur, but not in large
cities such as S. Jose, Cabo S. Lucas or La Paz. Any update on this
would be appreciated.
In a related matter, I am looking for a ride today or tomorrow to La
Paz to get cash for rent. That would be one direction only, as I
shall stay overnight with a friend.

The two adorable girl puppies,
Molly and Daisy, are due to go north on June 16th. However, it would
be great if someone could adopt them from LB or the area as they are
such a joy! They are both completing their vaccinations, and are
expected to grow to around 30-40 lbs. They have wonderful
personalities, and are just happy to be with people and other
animals. Please can you tell everyone about them? It would be so sad
