I build a "Whole House" brown out protector that
uses a small "window comparator" shown below,as the sensor from
CFE.That sensor will turn on and off,complete with adjustable time
delay,a load up to 6 amps @120/240 VAC. You can use these
individually per appliance or connect it's output to a larger
component such as a solid state relay or a mechanical Contactor or
BOTH...........
This device will sense a voltage within a SOR [safe operating
range'] that accepts a 12% over or under voltage NORMAL .When it
senses out of range it shuts off it's own relay;then automatically
turns the load back on after the adjustable time delay kicks in.At
my home my first flat screen TV lasted a whopping 7 days as CFE
turned on and off 6 times in 5 seconds. I will never have that
issue again !
