We just got here Tuesday driving down from Tijuana. All travels were
uneventful until we got pulled over in La Paz a mile past the last
stop light heading out of town. 3 police in a La Paz Municipal
Police truck with lights flashing. All conversation was in Spanish
and I do not speak it well. I knew the drill so actually had fun
with this encounter. Said I was speeding. I said I was not. I said
cars were passing me all the time for going too slow. They said I
needed to go to the station and I said great lets go. A few broken
spanglish sentences later they offered to save us time by paying the
fine now. I insisted I would follow them to the station. One
officers English was getting better all the time. Bottom line is he
realized we were not giving him money so he handed me my drivers
license back with a "Enjoy your stay in Los Barriles" in perfect
English.

windows/doors and turn off AC units automatically? We've heard
that the resorts use this technology, and would like to use it for
our place, too. Better for the environment, and better for our
electric bill.
