The 23nd Annual Festival de Artes is this weekend at the beautiful
"Hotel Palmas de Cortez", from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March
20, 2016. Browse through the rows of over 140 vendors with art
mediums such as oil, acrylic, water color, pottery, wood and glass,
fabric, flowers, silver, gold and precious stones in designs like no
other. There will be food to eat from Palmas, Seth’s Pizza, Sausage
Girls, to name a few and of course our famous Beer Garden and music
from Bluz Explosion on our Stage! Don't forget to get some money in
advance so the cash machines don't run out!! Weather is predicted to

YOUR VEHICLE IS NEEDED! We are excited to announce a joint
community project between the town, the Mayor’s office, Rotary Club
of Los Barriles Cabo Estes and East Cape Recycling Baja! We are
launching the Los Barriles Recycles initiative to help keep our town
clean and free of trash and preserve our beautiful environment.
Before we can roll out this project on a large scale, a 4x4 pickup
truck is needed (size of a 4x4 Ford Ranger long bed or larger), in
good working order (it doesn’t have to be pretty!), for the
municipality to collect recyclables from new recycle bins that are
ready to be installed throughout Los Barriles.
We are calling on the generosity of the residents of
our community to help us find a pickup that is underused and can be
repurposed for recycle collection. Your pick-up truck donation or
cash donation to keep the truck maintained and filled with gas is a
great way to support community recycling. Designated donations for
Los Barriles Recycles, however large or small, can be made through
Rotary International, who can provide a receipt for tax deduction
purposes (contact Chris Geyer - cgeyer@eoni.com) . Any business that
is interested in supporting this program can participate in
sponsorship opportunities, including branding on the pick-up truck,
on recycle bins, plus Facebook and website branding. For information
