Baja Night Sky #92, Thursday, March 24: 1) Watch the eastern horizon tonight at sunset. As the sun descends in the west, a dark bluish-purple band will slowly rise in the east. This is Earth's shadow being cast on the lower atmosphere. Above this shadow is a pink band known as The Belt of Venus. This band is caused by the sunlight's shorter red wavelengths reflecting off of dust particles above the shadow. The dark band grows wider, and the Belt of Venus shrinks as the sun descends farther below the western horizon; finally, the band merges with twilight's darkening sky, and nightfall soon immerses us in Earth's shadow. The whole process takes about 30 minutes (on the Pacific, the process is reversed & begins before sunrise). 2) The Moon rises at 7:46:30pm tonight. On Saturday, Moonrise is 9:26pm so we should have dark enough skies Saturday evening to catch the Big Dipper standing on its curved handle in the NE. 4 Love of Baja here to thank you for your support. Again! We were the beneficiary of the 50/50 raffle at Friday night's stellar performance of Pleasure Island by our very own Baja Shakespeare Troupe
es. Our winner - 6 year old Maeson Waring - graciously donated the majority of her winnings back to 4 Love of Baja. That combined with the sales of our woodies and goodies we raised enough money to purchase the materials for about 10 more beds. Special thanks to Kim Scholefield and Baja Shakspeare for allowing us this opportunity. We gotta get building!
(4 Love of Baja is 4 friends that have more time than money and hearts that want to share. We create a variety of handmade items to sell, including everybobody’s favorite beer opener - the Baja Woody. We then sell them and spend 100% of the proceeds to buy materials, with which we then build beds. We are currently fulfilling a commitment to the State-run Albergue in San Antonio after which we will do the same for Albergue La Ribera. FYI: An albergue is a boarding facility for rural kids so they can attend the local public school during the week.)

     We'are a Los Cabos based cultural promotion project and we're reaching to you to spread the word among BCS-Baja artist about the Rosarito Art Fest call to artists, which is about to close on March 31st. The festival will take place May 28th and 29th and will be a good stop if anyone is going up north. The artists or galleries should submit their applications before acceptance. Once the festival committee has accepted the submission, the amount to pay for the booth is ridiculously inexpensive. Find attached some information. I'm also including links to the application form.
     I'm convinced this community has the talent to be considered in this festival, and I'm sure there will be good sales for everybody who exhibits in this fair.

Home Depot has a Sealer and Enhancer that looks good here in California but we can't buy it there.
If you have a name of a product, a general price point and where we can buy, it would be appreciated.
