a.   On Monday/Tuesday there was a country wide “intermittent” Telmex software issue that caused Internet issues/outages for millions of customers. Although Telmex claims that the issue is 100% resolved now, we are seeing that many are still having issues. If you are still having issues with your Telmex modem try powering it off for 60 seconds then power it back on(which reestablishes the DSL connection and downloads new settings). a.  Do you go to the beach? The answer is probably yes! Recycling day is right around the corner but it’s never to late to walk the beach and pick up trash. I don’t know what took me so long but I finally read the entire www.eastcaperecyclingbaja.com site today after participating in a beach cleanup yesterday with the Sonoma Coast Surfriders Foundation volunteers. There are so many programs going on with recycling in LB that I didn’t know about, we should all be proud to do our part and help continue to expand these opportunities. If nothing else, PLEASE seek out plastic bottles, caps, glass, tiny colored pieces of colored plastics and Styrofoam, shoes, foil, plastic glove pieces, fish line, nets and so on while you’re on the beach every day. Areas from the high tide lines to the bluffs will undoubtedly turn up new trash during the full moon so take along a reusable bag or bucket to collect everything you can in order to keep this out of the stomach of our treasured marine life and support our recycling goals. No excuses! Fill your pockets, pails, or hats while you fish, de-rig, walk, run, sail or enjoy a beer in the afternoon at your favorite spot. Check out this site for amazing ideas for artwork made from beach trash, show off your creative efforts in your trailer park, front yard, business site or make gifts of color to those who cannot gather but would like to create. a. WiFi and Phone:  My renters had the same problem for two days last week in Spa and my Property Manager called and reported it, and everything was working the next day and both WIFI and phone are all working now (as far as I know). It has been brought to my attention that some people in our community are spreading a misunderstanding (knowledge deficit) of the East Cape Guild’s scholarship program. To clarify, the Mexican government does NOT pay for high school education in Baja. Tuition and transportation are the responsibility of the families for grades 10, 11 and 12. The East Cape Guild provides scholarship money to deserving, qualifying children for grades 10 through 12, and we pay the scholarships and transportation DIRECTLY to the schools – no money is given to the families.
