DISCUSSIONS – ANSWERS – ANNOUNCEMENTS

a.  The winds are strong and the kiters are out in force. For all of you non kiters, launching and landing is the time when serious accidents happen. Side by side and quad drivers please stay on the land side of active rigging and launching areas. If you see someone launching or self launching from the back of a vehicle, please have patience and wait for us to be done. If you run over our bars and lines on the ground, they can be damaged by your tires. These run around $500 to replace. There is a good road behind our parked vehicles, please use it to bypass us.

We had an incident at North Beach by El Geckos today with side by sides. Today was crazy windy and that makes our entry &exit even more dangerous! We had a full component of kiters on the beach rigging and launching when we had 2 large vehicles want to come through. One was gracious and went behind our vehicles and the other plowed through, throwing profanity right and left as we tried to explain our issue. I hope everyone cares about our safety and this was a one off. Our families care about our safety and we care about yours. We are your neighbors. We are your community. d.  Tracey Lewis and The Barkery – many concerned people have been asking about Tracey’s condition.  Tracey is our wonderful community dog trainer, co-founder of The Los Barriles Dog Show and owner of The Barkery (dog and cat treats).  Tracey is really not well but she is soldiering on and keeps herself busy as much as her tiredness will allow.  The good news is that she is still selling liver treats, dog treats and liver jerky but now EXCLUSIVELY only at Joe’s Deli in Los Barriles.  She will not be at the Saturday Market.  A lot of people have offered to help with Tracey’s treatment but Tracey asks if you can support her by purchasing the treats in Joe’s Deli, that’s all she asks.  Thank you everybody.
