a.  The ‘4C’ Boutique Clothing Rummage Sale on February 21^st: We’re postponing this gently-worn clothing sale until next season as the calendar is overflowing with activities!  However, Cortez Rescue would still love your help!  Please can you ask friends, visitors and family to bring 5-10 gently-worn items when they visit?  Dresses, skirts, shorts, shirts, light sweaters. Attractive garments in good shape that you know someone else would love to have! Please either leave them at Homes & Land of Baja in the Cortez Rescue corner or send us an email to coordinate pick-up. b.  Banking!  We’ve had issues with ATM’S at the Bancomer in LB and now the HSBC ATM in Sorianas in San Jose. This is where you appear to have completed your WITHDRAWL. But NO MONEY comes out. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MONEY HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT.  It seems to be more of an issue if you’re using an American or Canadian Credit Union Debit Card.  We are out a substantial amount of money and have been told by our Credit Union in Canada that it will take 3-6 months to have it returned to our account. IF EVER!!!!  Our Credit Union back in Canada was VERY Aware of This issue especially with BANCOMER!  We have talked with the bank manager at Bancomer in LB and he ORIGINALLY told us our money would be returned in 2-10 days. It’s now been over 2 months!
This is a warning to others that use the ATM’s.  CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AFTER EVERY WITHDRAWAL TRANSACTION!!!!

CHURCH SERVICES

a.  You are invited to attend East Cape Christian Fellowship church this Sunday at 9 AM.  We are beginning a new series from the Book of Mark.  The title of the message is: “Where’s Christmas?” and covers Mark 1:1-9.  Our church is located on the paved road from Tio Pablo’s to the post office about 300 yards before the post office in Los Barriles..

b.  Bilingual Church Service, La Ribera: Sunday, January 20, 9:00 am, Santa Victoria en Iglesia de Cristo / Holy Victory Church in Christ. Spanish only service 5 PM. How to find us? When entering La Ribera from Santa Cruz, turn right at the Oxxo toward Cabo Pulmo. About a mile farther on your right you will drive by Reys Mercado. Then simply go two more blocks where there is a church sign, Santa Victoria. Turn right there and we are one short block up the road. Easy find. We hope to see you!
