Sad News: JoAnn Hyslop, the founder of Asociacion de Artes and Festival de Artes, passed away in Thousand Oaks, CA at the age of 88 on Jan 15. Her influence is all around us with the events she started and her creation, East Capers Magazine. She lived an adventure filled life and can be counted as one of the great personalities of the East Cape Area. The February issue of East Capers Magazine will have more information. A celebration of her life will be in December as her wishes were to return to her beloved Baja! Details we follow about that as soon as we know them.

b. Just happened to us at the Repsol gas station. The attendant switched one of the two $500 bills for a $50. The attendant caused a distraction and then made the switch. Inattention on our part cost us $450. Beware.
